Hale Dwoskin, featured teacher in the #1 bestseller "The Secret" and founder of The Sedona Method, has just announced how to get over the destructive appearance trap of not feeling pretty enough.

Sedona, AZ (PRWEB) July 16, 2007 -- Hale Dwoskin, founder of The Sedona Method and a featured teacher in the #1 blockbuster bestselling book and movie, "The Secret," has the most sensible advice on how to get over the destructive appearance trap and learn to feel pretty.

In Americans' ever-increasing quest to be beautiful, there seems to be no limit to the lengths people will take to look "perfect." Cosmetic plastic surgery procedures increased 7 percent from 2005, to reach almost 11 million procedures in 2006. Among the most popular treatments in this category were breast augmentation, nose reshaping, liposuction, eyelid surgery and tummy tucks.

Cannabis smokers ‘are taking huge risk of psychotic illness’

Cannabis users are 40 per cent more likely to develop a psychotic illness than non-users, a study has found.

Heavy users are more than twice as likely to suffer mental illness, according to a group of British academics, who calculate that about one in seven cases of conditions such as schizophrenia is caused by cannabis.

The warnings come as the Prime Minister and the Home Secretary signalled that the "softly softly" era for cannabis may be coming to an end.

Gordon Brown said last week that the Home Office would be consulting on whether it had been right to downgrade cannabis from a Class B to a Class C drug in 2004. Jacqui Smith, the Home Secretary, is to ask the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs to review the evidence.

Home Craze Gazumps London With Record Prices, $500,000 Parking

July 25 (Bloomberg) -- One late-June morning in London, a real estate broker named Becky Fatemi eases into her black Porsche Cayenne and heads for Connaught Square, just north of Hyde Park.

As her sport utility vehicle turns into the square, Fatemi -- who, by her own account, handled about 55 million pounds ($113 million) of home sales in 2006 -- nods toward one of the Georgian town houses.

``This is where Tony Blair bought,'' says Fatemi, the top producer at Foxtons Ltd., the biggest residential property brokerage in London.

Through Foxtons and another broker, Blair purchased the five-story house for 3.65 million pounds in 2004, when, as prime minister, he was still living on Downing Street. Fatemi, 31, says Blair's place is worth as much as 4.7 million pounds now -- a 29 percent increase.

The Double Standard on Trading Contaminated Chinese and U.S. Consumer Products, say Dr. Samuel S. Epstein and Ronnie ...

The dangers of cheap Chinese exports of contaminated consumer products have received extensive media coverage, besides the formation of a Cabinet-level Product Safety Panel. These exports include personal care products, such as toothpaste contaminated with the anti-freeze diethylene glycol, honey contaminated with dangerous antibiotics, and food contaminated with banned drugs, pesticides and carcinogens. In contrast, Congress and the media remain silent on the export of dangerous U.S. consumer products, besides their decades-old domestic sale.

New Procedure Claims To Melt Fat, Literally

While many people are eager to shed their extra pounds, it's usually easier said than done. Although liposuction is a viable surgical option for weight loss, there is a new alternative: lipodissolve. On "The Early Show," CBS News correspondent Kelly Wallace explored this new procedure, which claims to melt away fat. Lipodissolve is a series of injections designed to dissolve fat from problem areas such as the stomach. Dr. Roger Friedman is one doctor who is practicing this new procedure. He is the medical director of Medsculpt, a lipodissolve clinic with offices in Maryland and Virginia. "Lipodissolve is a technique by which we're injecting material in the fatty tissue. That liquid dissolves the fatty tissue, creating a local inflammatory reaction, which means you're going to get some swelling.
